Vacation Bible School FAQ

1.) What precautions are you taking to combat the spread of Covid-19?

2.) What time may I bring my child?

Check-in begins at 9:45 AM each day.

3.) Where should I enter for check-in?

Check-in will be held in the outdoor pavilion on west (parking lot) side of the

building. Please note that, in case of rain, you will bring your children through the

gym doors on the west side of the building.

4.) What is the check-in procedure?

Bring your child to the check-in table where an adult will complete the check-in

process and provide a name tag for your child.

5.) What time should I arrive to collect my child?

Backyard Bible School will offer a light lunch for the children following each day's

VBS program. If you child stays for lunch, you should arrive no later than

12:00 Noon to pick them up. If your child is not staying for lunch, you may pick

them up at 11:30 AM, following the conclusion of the day's VBS program.

6.) Where should I come to pick my child up?

Children will be waiting for their parents in the gym.

7.) What is the pick-up procedure?

Parents (or designated person allowed to pick them up) will check-in with an adult

volunteer at the door, who will then connect you with your child for pick-up.

8.) If my child requires transportation, what time will the van begin picking up children?

The van will leave the church to begin pick-up at 9:30 AM. The exact time your

child is picked up will depend largely on the number of children being picked up

and where on the route your home is located.

9.) What should my child wear?

To the extent allowed by weather, most activities will be held outdoors. So, comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes are recommended every day so that your children can freely run and play. Our crafts are awesome, fun, and potentially messy! Please make sure you children wear play clothes that can get dirty.

10.) What if my child can't come the whole week or needs to miss a day?

That's okay! We want your child to enjoy as much of VBS as possible so just bring

them the days they are able to attend!

11.) What if I didn't pre-register my child?

No problem! You may register your child by bringing them to the registration

table at the start of VBS.

  • We will be meeting outside as much as possible to ensure fresh, open air and social distancing
  • All adult volunteers who haven't yet been vaccinated will wear masks
  • Temperature checks will be conducted at the beginning of each day's session of VBS
  • Surfaces will be wiped/sanitized on a regular basis.
  • Any indoor activities will be socially distanced
  • Recommendations from the health department regarding masking children will be followed.
