Children's Ministries
At First Baptist we celebrate our littlest learners and have in place a number of programs to help lead them in their faith as they grow. We strive to make church a happy place where children want to spend time and where they are excited to learn the Bible and share their faith with others.

All 'Bout Kids (ABK)
Remember how much fun the kids had at Vacation Bible School? Well, our ABK program keeps the fun going through the school year! With songs, crafts, Bible Stories, and activities that engage their minds as well as their bodies, kids will learn about Jesus, build their foundations of faith, and have fun doing it!
Our 2020 - 2021 ABK season has begun and, like school, things will look a little different for your little ones when they come to join us this year for some fun at ABK!
For the safety of both the children and our volunteers each child will undergo a brief COVID screening at drop off. This will involve some quick and simple questions about any exposure/symptoms and a touchless forehead temperature scan. For this reason, parents must accompany their children up to the door for pick-up and drop-off. We will also be conducting as many of our activities outdoors as we are able, volunteers will be wearing masks and social distancing will be practiced.
If you aren’t comfortable sending your children for in-person activities, please note that we plan to begin making on-line lessons and activities available to you via our ABK YouTube page.
So much fun is in store for us as we play, learn and create!
Childcare
Childcare
During Sunday morning worship, we are pleased to provide childcare for infants through children in first grade.
Infants and Toddlers
Childcare for infants and toddlers will be offered in the Crib Room which is located just across the hall from the sanctuary. The crib room is a bright and cheerful room outfitted with everything necessary for the care and comfort of your littlest blessings.
Older Children
Childcare for school age children through first grade will be offered in the Koinonia Kid's room in the educational wing of the building.
Parent's Corner
Welcome Parents
Thank you for trusting us with the tremendous responsibility of helping you raise your children in a community of faith. Our mission is to partner with parents and families to provide a solid foundation of faith that will help mold and guide children as they grow into loving, devoted followers of Christ.
Because we take the safety of our little learners seriously, all of our volunteers have been subjected to and have passed a comprehensive background check.
Our curriculum is always age appropriate and taught in a safe and supportive environment by a team of dedicated volunteers. We strive to make church a happy place where children are excited to be involved and to learn!

2. Respect one another and the church.
3. Participate appropriately
Disciplinary Consequences
Our goal is to guide children with gentle voices and hearts. We understand that it is not always easy for children to make appropriate decisions regarding behaviors and our discipline guidelines are meant to allow time and grace for corrections and redirection to a more positive experience.
1. A warning: A verbal warning about the inappropriate behavior and a redirection back towards appropriate behaviors and interactions.
2. Thinking Time (away from class)
a. Pre-K/K: 2 minutes
b. 1st - 2nd grade: 3 minutes
