A lifelong American Baptist, Jim came to Pontiac in 1990 after serving two American Baptist Churches in New Jersey. He was ordained in 1981 and received his Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned his Ph.D. from the Graduate Theological Foundation.
Jim and his wife Janet have two children, Karla and Owen, a son-in-law, Sanjay, and two precious (and precocious) granddaughters, Asha and Karina.
Jay has been in the Ministry of working with people for 30 years. He is married to Lisa and has 5 children Chayla, Mikayla, Tyler, Micah and Aiden. He and Lisa have one granddaughter, Hadleih, one son-in-law Erik, and daughter-in-law Claire. Music has always been a big part of his life and Jay especially enjoys worship and praise through song.
